Saw an interview with the creator on Breakfast TV here this week. Thing has a range of 8000 metres up and can go at 100kph. Thankfully is has a built in parachute in case of mechanical failure.
They've already got a backlog of 500 units on order. Many for search and rescue groups but apparently a lot of private individuals think it is Uber Cool as well.
I may never see a flying car but this is pretty damn close.
8000 feet. My bad. :-)
